RPS island is a game where you can win virtual money by correctly predicting the outcome of a spin of a wheel. It uses the game Rock, Paper, Scissors as its core mechanism. If you believe that the wheel will stop on a Rock, for example, then you should choose to play with Paper because we all know that Paper beats Rock. In fact, this island is where the game Rock Paper Scissors comes from. But the game kids play in the playground these days is just a faint shadow of the original which is based on the mystical powers of prediction.

You must remember:
•Rock beats Scissors
•Scissors beats Paper
•Paper beats Rock

You start from the map. Each numbered icon on the map represents a single game. In each game, you can win up to 3 stars depending on how far you get in each game. As long as you win at least one star in a game, then the next game will be unlocked. Your aim is to get as many stars as possible. Tap an unlocked numbered icon to play a game. Once unlocked, you can play any game as often as you like. However, when you lose a game, you will lose a life. Lives regenerate over time or you can buy more lives from Pandora’s Emporium.

Each game is played on a unique Trials Of Prediction Statue (TOPS). Each game has several levels which are displayed on the outer ring of the TOPS and as you progress through the levels your winnings and the bonuses on the outer levels go into your Prize Chest.

One spin doesn’t make a game. On RPS Island, your aim is not so much to win individual spins of the wheel but to try and predict as many spins in a row as you can. As you build up wins, you will also have the chance to win bigger and bigger bonuses and other prizes along the way.

You must get to at least the first star to win the contents of the Prize Chest. You may also find bonus Envelopes and Mystery Boxes and those too will go into the Prize Chest.

As you reach each star, you will win everything that has gone into the Prize Chest up to that point, even if you go on to lose. You win the maximum by correctly predicting to the final Star 3 level.

Each spin, you can play with different types of Rock, Paper and Scissors, each of which has different values and different powers. The higher value items will improve your chances of winning and may also increase the winnings.

As you play, regardless of the outcome, you will earn Experience Points. Your player level will increase the more Experience Points you earn.

You won’t be able to buy all the different Rocks, Paper and Scissors at the start, but they will unlock as your player level increases

Use your Swaps wisely. If you predict a spin incorrectly, you have 3 Swaps you can use during a game to change the outcome of the spin.

If you predict wrong, and you’ve run out of Swaps, then it’s game over.

You can also use Fortune Cards to increase your prizes. Buy these from Pandora’s Emporium, they all have different powers.

Keep an eye out for the ancient artifacts as you play. These parts of items have the power to upgrade your Rocks, Paper and Scissors permanently when you collect the sets of 3. Each of your Rocks, Paper and Scissors can be upgraded 3 times with these collectables, to Bronze, Silver and Gold level. With more power, you will win more and this will help you explore deeper into the island.

Your winning streaks too can power up your Rock, Paper and Scissors too, if only for a short period. Get 4 wins in a row to increase all of your items’ power to Bronze level for 10 minutes in a Power Streak. Get another 4 for Silver and another 4 for Gold, the ultimate level.

As you continue to play you will begin to realise that there is more to this game than you think and you can develop strategies that will help you win more and more often.

Perhaps the most important thing to remember is to have fun. It’s the journey, not the destination.

And finally, watch out for Saphira, she thinks she is the best at this game and she can be a bit mean sometimes. Don’t take it personally, she’s like that with eveyone!
